Very pleasant and friendly staff, good location to eat before going to concert, all six meals good, little over enthusiastic with chilli on beef curry and couscous salad.

Fashioned in the style of a charming farmhouse, The Little Owl is a rustic haven near Solihull and Birmingham, serving well-loved British meals. The classic brick hearth, oak beams and traditional trinkets ensure it is a cosy pub, with appealing modern touches, such as the colourful arm chairs and the art. You can also enjoy the food outside in the al fresco garden for summer.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Little Owl menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Little Owl ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Little Owl is just a 15-minute walk from Birmingham International Train Station, or 14 minutes in the car from Solihull.

We were travelling to NEC for a concert and didn't fancy their fast food. Saw this place on Google. Similar to a local pub we have as it's Vintage Inns. Booked a table online. Easy! Arrived at Little Owl about 6: p.m.. Easy to park. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Good service. Highly recommend. Much better than NEC. NEC parking only 5 mins away by car. Civilised meal. Very relaxing

Thursday 10th was very poor, what was on the menu & what you had left was ridiculous. Opted for steak pie which was the worst ever, lifted the crust off to find very little meat. Service was poor. Friday eve was better.

I booked online, we arrived a little early but our table was ready and the service was fine. I ordered a chicken roast dinner and was VERY surprised that it included a WHOLE roast chicken! I have a small appetite so had to ask for a 'doggy bag' but our meals were fine. I have only eaten dinner here in the evening so cannot comment on other dining experiences. However, I find it very handy when visiting the NEC and it's reasonable pub grub.

Two completely different experiences on two consecutive evenings. Only set menu available on both evenings. First evening it was quite busy and the staff were accommodating and pleasant. The meal was good. However it was very busy on the second evening. We had to wait for our table and we had to wait some time for the menu. When our order was taken my meal choice (which was limited because of few gluten free options) was not available so a second choice was made. Long wait for starter and then for main course only to be told that that choice too was unavailable. We both ended up with really salty anchovies in an otherwise tasteless Caesar salad with an extremely dry char grilled chicken. Staff were rushed off their feet. Kitchen boss was extremely apologetic. We were not offered the opportunity to review our meal online.
