A charming restaurant just 200 metres from the beautiful Suffolk coast, The Lighthouse in Aldeburgh features in both the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide. Making the most of local produce, British classics are joined by Mediterranean flavours on the menu.

Favourites on The Lighthouse Restaurant menu include traditional beer-battered fish and chips and hearty steaks with hand-cut chips and a choice of sauce. Elsewhere on the menu, discover grilled lemon sole with fennel and pomegranate salsa, corn-fed chicken breast with sun-dried tomato and wild mushroom risotto, and gnocchi with gorgonzola and Mediterranean vegetables.

Finish with indulgent desserts like boozy banana pancake with toffee crunch ice cream, or treacle tart with lemon syrup. With large windows, wooden floors and rich yellow and terracotta walls, The Lighthouse is warm, relaxed and welcoming.

A rustic seaside restaurant, The Lighthouse in Suffolk blends fresh flavours with fine wines, local ales and an inviting atmosphere.

Sam is a huge delight! He is very welcoming, uses my name when he greets me. A big positive. Good food presentation and when ordering, the staff are able to answer questions well, about the various dishes. OMG...your fish pie!! The best ever!

We were given a friendly welcome and the restaurant had a warm, cheerful busy atmosphere. Excellent service. Really interesting menu so we had difficulty choosing what to eat. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had the set menu which was delicious and good value. The wine we chose was lovely. We had a great time on a wet and cold January day.

A wonderful restaurant, Sam the patron runs a professional ship, its rare to find a restaurant where everybody is welcomed with such genuine warmth and bonhomie, very good food, a good wine list, great value for money, even on a very grey miserable damp day we left smiling and happy, quite superb - must book as they are very popular
