Staff were lovely. Coffee and tea were weak, food was poor. Cakes were poor, scones were nice but that was the highlight. Was not good value and I would not recommend it. Pity as it was a nice setting.

The staff were very tentative and the service was great. The selection was varied and we didn't feel rushed

Lovely time at the Hilton for afternoon tea. The staff really went the extra mile to make our visit special. The restaurant was clean and well presented. Thankyou for an enjoyable visit

This was the 2nd time my husband & I have dined at the Larder Restaurant, and we were just as impressed as the 1st time - every staff member that you meet is friendly, welcoming, attentive & intent on ensuring that your experience is a happy and positive one, which is rare nowadays, sad to say. The meal was lovely & we look forward to dining there again soon.

Had afternoon tea, and was a bit disappointed. There wasn't a choice of teas, we were just brought a pot of tea and our sandwiches and cakes. We also had free flowing prosecco for the hour. But the staff never came to us again at all! Did not dine in the restaurant so cannot comment on that.

Lovely afternoon tea! Esp liked the complimentary prossco and card for my mothers 50th birthday. Would have like the option of more coffee as tea was unlimited but could only have 1 coffee each

Pretty rubbish generally. They haven't got simple things right like making a nice pot of tea.
Sandwiches were boring and also weren't fresh. Clotted cream... wasn't clotted cream.
    Pretty basic issues really.

We enjoyed our relaxing Afternoon Tea yesterday at the Hilton. Unlimited tea is always good and the sandwiches were fresh if a little uninspired. I asked for plain sandwiches with no condiments and was served ham and cheese which were okay but roast chicken or beef would have been better. The warm scones were fresh and soft and the whipped cream good but clotted cream would have been perfect. We were disappointed that the two pieces of cake were not home made but they were tasty and fresh. Overall it was a pleasant tea with friendly service but some improvements could make it so much better.
