Housed in an elegant Georgian building, The Langton is a cosy retreat close to the boutiques of the spa town of Cheltenham. With an outdoor dining area, as well as a spacious restaurant and bar, this gastro pub serves a menu of modern British dishes with a Mediterranean twist.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Langton menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Langton bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Langton in Gloucestershire is an 8-minute drive from Cheltenham Spa Railway Station.

Not a great experience overall disappointed . Not a pleasant way we were greeted and shirty stressed staff waiting on the table made me not want to return . Food good but service is as much part of overall dining experience . Bill was £100 including tip. Will just eat in the bar in future

My partner and I stopped for Sunday lunch after having a couple of very enjoyable days at the Cheltenham Literary Festival. The lunch was excellent with first class service, though the place was very busy, and was a fine ending to our trip.

The place is an interesting mix of a formal setting with a fairly informal approach by the staff, but also efficient and friendly. The food was absolutely wonderful and came quite quickly. A very good experience.

OK ; a little on the pricey side. Spacious with lots of room between tables. Extensive menu with out-of-the-ordinary dishes.
Making up the bill was erratic. I should have had 25% off total bill but I didn't discover this error until I got home afterwards. I have since reported this drop-off.

Lovely meal, excellent service (waiter and manager resolved a couple of hiccups very promptly and with a full apology), most enjoyable ambience.

Enjoyed the meal and the staff very friendly. It was great to have the discount voucher to use for a good saving on six dining.
