Nestled in the beautiful Dorset countryside, The Lamb’s Green Inn near Corfe Mullen was previously a charming farmhouse. The dedication to traditional British cuisine remains, as does the pastoral feel and appearance, through the distinctive partially thatched roof, classic red brickwork and oak beams. You can savour the seasonally-prepared food by the cosy log-fire, or outside in the al fresco beer garden.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Lambs’ Green Inn menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Lambs’ Green Inn ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Lambs’ Green Inn is only 3 minutes’ drive from Corfe Mullen and 4 minutes from Wimborne Minster.

Food was very good - however 90minute wait for it to arrive I think is a little excessive! We were warned there was a 20 - 25 minute delay - so we ordered some Garlic bread not realising that this delayed our main courses further

Great mildly spicy beef ribs. Elderflower custard tart not so good. Service very good. Ringwood best excellent.

The service was really slow it was 15 mins after we was seated, for us to ask someone if they would take our road order or we had to order at the bar, he said he would come over and never appeared. We then asked again two members of staff who were casually chatting away behind us, he came over took our food order but still no drinks order, which I reminded him. Our starters came out but still no drinks, which we had to ask for again. The steak my friend ordered was very chewy and fatty which she only ate a small amount and I orders skinny chips and got thick ones, they offered to change it but we had waited so long to order i didn't want to wait for our correct food to come out.

I booked a table for 4 at 8:00pm. When arrived we could see it was really busy being Valentines day. The staff seemed to be under pressure. We waited half an hour for our table to become free as the diners from the earlier sitting were still there. We weren't in any rush, however waited longer than we were expecting to be served. All around us other diners seemed to be having problems and a table of 6 got up and left. Meals were being sent back and customers were complaining for the wait. We chose the set meal and when our starters arrived we enjoyed them. The main meals arrived 20mins after we finished the starters. 3 of us had steak and the 4th had beef wellington which we paid the supplement on. My medium to well steak was really well done and in fact burnt on one side. I didn't complain as my wife was happy to eat it and I had hers. My friends beef wellington was spoiled. The steak was well done and he couldn't eat it and sent it back and decided not to eat anymore as it ruined his evening. The sweets were nice and came quickly as it was now 10:30pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. I understand it was busy and I understand there will be a wait, however the staff were left to deal with all of the complaints. We asked to see the manager on 2 occasions, however the waiter was sent back to deal with us. We did get a reduction on the price we paid which was only right. My bigger concern is that the staff were telling us that they had far to many bookings for the amount of staff that were working. We have only just started going back to the Lambs Green as we have had poor meals there before and after last night we may not be going back again. All this was caused by allowing the amount of bookings to be too high for the staff to cope with and what should have been an enjoyable night for us turned into a miserable one and based on what we saw it wasn't just us that had a poor evening.

We booked online and requested table near open fire. One was available for us. My husband and I both had sirloin steaks which were cooked to our liking but both were grissly. The onion rings were very small 2 x. I would have likde my tomatoes cooked and a mushroom would have been nice. The restaurant was busy with only 3 members of staff who coped rather well. We were not asked at any time if we wanted any sauces or if are meal was okay. I think they have changed management and staff again but overall we had a nice meal.
