An old coaching inn dating back to 1480, The Lamb Inn Axbridge is a beautifully traditional pub with oak beams and inviting open fires. Sat in the heart of Axbridge square, the pub also has a skittle alley, pool table and juke box.
Dishes on The Lamb Inn menu range from gourmet British pub classics to more international flavours. Favourites include pork and Ashton Press Cider sausages with mash and buttered cabbage, traditional fish pie, and a choice of smoky pulled pork or delicately spiced cajun chicken burgers.
Ales from the local Butcombe Brewery are served at The Lamb Inn Somerset, as well as a carefully crafted wine list with bottles from around the world.
With al fresco seating in the picturesque Axbridge Square, The Lamb Inn is close to several walking trails in the area, and 21 minutes' drive from Weston Milton Rail Station.

I have dined here quite a few times. Each time we are given tasty well presented and good sized portions of food. My recent visit with a volunteering group proved to be no exception with all 7 of us satisfied with our meals, albeit that two items were not available from the menu. The selection of drinks was wide ranging and should be O.K. for most people. Service was friendly and efficient..

Very enjoyable meals, friendly and welcoming staff and pleasant country pub atmosphere. But, please clean up the ladies loos - the "aroma" as one enters the lobby is immediately apparent.

Lovely atmosphere, we had a table next to the wood burner which was lovely and warm and very cosy. We found the specials and opted for the roast turkey and the quiche, both of which were delicious. Our starters were the soup of the day and prawn cocktail and likewise, both lovely. The staff in the pub and indeed the locals made us feel as if we were locals which was extremely nice. Thoroughly enjoyed it, would recommend the pub without a second thought.
