In the upmarket Knightsbridge Sheraton Park Tower Hotel, The Knightsbridge Lounge in London is an opulent destination for afternoon tea and light lunches. A member of the UK Tea Council’s prestigious Tea Guild, the golden Knightsbridge Lounge is decorated with silk drapes, original artworks and an 18-foot teardrop glass chandelier.

Freshly baked scones, finely-trimmed finger sandwiches and freshly-baked pastries are hallmarks of classic British afternoon tea at The Knightsbridge Lounge. Offering variations on this tradition, it also serves Oriental tea, fusing Chinese and Japanese influences, and the cleansing herbal and fruit infusions of Tisane.

Retreat to The Terrace - a Parisian-style, al fresco cafe - and enjoy high tea overlooking the bustle of Knightsbridge. Littered with pretty parasols, colourful flowers line the borders and provide an optimum vista for people-watching over a traditional afternoon tea.

Serving lunch, then afternoon tea, plush banquettes and soft, gilded chairs make The Knightsbridge Park Tower Lounge relaxing and elegant. A short stroll from trendy Sloane Street, The Knightsbridge Lounge is a 2-minute walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

I booked a table for three and requested a surprise birthday plate (it was my friend`s at30th). When we got there, [...]and I realised at that point I would not see the birthday plate (and I didn't). The lounge where the tea takes place was empty (Saturday afternoon), there was such a strong scent of air freshner so we moved to the bar area, which has a nicer atmosphere. It was nice of the waitress to inform us we can have tea in either of the two places. The food was ok, nothing special. Would not come back.
