Had a lovely time there celebrating my birthday with afternoon tea. There were 7 of us and the staff were very attentive. Can't complain about anything.

Customer service was not up to the standard expected for this establishment.Staff were unfriendly. Not once were we asked if we would like more tea or coffee or if everything was alright for us. The sandwiches were stale and two of them had no filling, they were supposed to be egg mayonnaise but were just bread and butter. We were made to feel unwelcome by the staff. Not one of them smiled or greeted us. We were made to feel as though we were an inconvenience.

I booked afternoon tea which was very nice but definitely no wow factor ! Having said that it was a very good price for what we had and the service was excellent.

I went to the kesington hotel with my sister to celebrate her engagement. However I was deeply deeply disappointed with it. The sandwiches were soggy and the bread tasted old and dry. The scones tasted stale and overall I was so sad and frankly imbaressed that I had taken my older sister there for a well deserved treat and celebration!

The food was all very good and it's a lovely hotel - great atmosphere, feels very luxurious. However the service was not good - very slow to bring out our selection of food considering it was very quiet at the time. We expected to be offered some tea (it is afternoon tea)! But as this had not been provided by the time we finished eating, we called a waitress over to ask for some tea. This was then brought over but we then had to get someone's attention again to ask for some milk. Considering there were 3 members of staff standing around we were a little surprised at how unattentive they were. We had booked online at a cost of £24 per person including champagne. When the bill came, it was a cost of £30 per person. Upon querying this I was told they had just raised their prices last week, which I was unaware of as I had booked it several weeks ago. The a manager came over and did discount it to the original price but we felt it was quite cheeky of them when I had clearly booked it before their price rise.

Booked afternoon Tea as meeting up with two Norwegian friends who had never had this experience. As it was Easter, we had the extra treat of hot cross buns and Easter Egg cup cakes. After a full day of walking the Regents canal, this ended our day perfectly. The whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable. The staff were magnificent too. Many thanks.
