Great evening at The Kensington Arms. Really good service and fantastic wine (we loved the fact we could get a half bottle carafe each so we could try different wines). The rare onglet steak was perfectly cooked with brilliant sides and we couldn't resist the desserts, which were so delicious. The dining room is incredibly comfortable and well decorated - a lovely ambience. Overall, a really great dining experience and we will definitely be back, soon!

Food really delicious. Possibly a bit pricey. Disappointed they don't do a set lunch menu for £10 for two courses or something like that. Everyone else does.

We liked the open kitchen at the end of the restaurant and the friendly staff. The food was excellent. We all ate fish. I had plaice with crusty cockles and samphire. Delicious. And a very creamy raspberry panna cotta.

The actual meal was very nice as was the service. We had a relaxed lunch with 3 courses and wine which all was pleasantly enjoyed amid a relaxed typical gastrointestinal pub atmosphere. However the issues began with 2 out of 4 of us becoming I'll the next day. This was almost certainly due to the food and on complaint to the manager we were told that as we had eaten oysters (the most likely but unconfirmed culprit food) and they were live/uncooked we ate there at our own risk! This was appalling in my opinion and really showed a lack of awareness as a food serving establishment. At no point did they offer any reimbursement or particularly sympathetic apology and this has really put me off dining there again. I have already mentioned it to 2 friend groups whom have cancelled their plans. To date, no positive action has been taken by management to satisfy us as customers (having spent over £250 for lunch) and I intend to make experience clear to the owners directly. In summary, nice place and food but very poor customer service so as the manager stated, eat here at your own risk.

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch

Sunday roast was ok. Lovely beef, not enough veg or gravy and food didn't arrive very warm. Overall nice dining experience - especially the open kitchen and welcoming front of house staff. Although our waitress wasn't particularly friendly.
Probably wouldn't recommend for Sunday lunch on the basis that I think there are better roasts in Bristol. Good for a drink in the sun in the outside beer garden.

Delicious Sunday lunch - excellent roast beef, Yorkshire and all the trimmings. Lovely staff who accommodated my Mums mobility issues without fuss. Attentive helpful service and great atmosphere. Never lets you down and a great place for Sunday lunch.
