We had and amazing experience at this restaurant. For me one of the bests restaurants in Birmingham.
The wait staff is endlessly attentive. The atmosphere is elegant and poised, but most of all, the food are exquisite.
We loved this place.

A cosy country-style cottage in the heart of Birmingham, The Karczma offers Polish cuisine made to centuries-old recipes. A glowing review from much-feared critic Jay Rayner champions the Karczma as ‘so good’.

Serving a wholly traditional selection, The Karczma menu spans from stuffed dumplings, warming soups and sizzling grilled kebabs, to classic stews and fresh fish. Favourites at The Karczma in Birmingham include beer-roasted ham hock with fried potatoes and sauerkraut, or sticky spare ribs with crisp salad.A host of favourite eastern European recipes for dessert includes traditional Polish apple cake, pavlova, or chocolate truffon.

A straw-covered ceiling, hefty communal tables and countless animal hides fill the homely dining room at Karczma. Head to the lively bar for a host of chilled beers served in chunky glass tankards.

Boasting 2 dining rooms and a rustic bar lined with fur-topped stools, The Karczma restaurant is a 5-minute walk from Birmingham Moor Street Rail Station and the Bull Ring Shopping Centre.

Lovely comfortable atmosphere - the sheepskins over the chairs and benches are very cosy.
Dumplings (pierogi) were definitely my favourite dish.
    Service was efficient but friendly.
We liked the music, although it was in the other section from where we were eating, but great to have live musicians.

Fabulous hearty food. All dishes perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Presented very well with wonderful side dishes. Loved decor of restaurant...although our welcome by lady at door could have been 'more' welcoming. However young man who served us was very pleasant. I would defiantly return and even travel just to get there, it is a unique restauratant and we loved it.

We booked a table for eleven of us and have to say that we all had a lovely evening at your restaurant. The service was brilliant especially as you were so very busy. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was just like my mama and babcia used to cook. ??A big thumb's up from all of us! Our only regret is that we were too full to order a dessert each. Three of us shared a portion of your delightful apple cake and our little great nephew enjoed his gofry with cream and fruit.

Decor is fab, sheepskin throws, maps. Polish ornaments! We absolutely loved the food! Grammar portions and quality. The smoked sausage soup in the Rye Bread was great! The dumplings are amazing and the stew on the potato pancakes to die for. Can't wait to go back to try Beetroot with mushroom croquettes ! We went with 2 young children and staff were great.
