Very welcoming, interesting and characterful pub, lovely staff, but most of all superb food. Four of us had nine dishes in total and everything was of top quality and wonderful flavours.

Excelled all our expectations, excellent food, well presented, staff unobtrusive and attentive, bar area ok, but the restaurant was a different world altogether, made you feel comfortable and special, will certainly be returning.

We were a party of 4 for lunch yesterday and had an excellent dining experience. A well chosen and varied menu which made choosing difficult ! I had the pickled sardine starter which was a delight on a plate, to look at and to eat, brilliant ! The duck confit was very tender and the vegetables al dente and tasty.
The waiting staff were welcoming yet polite and unobtrusive and the general ambience warm and inviting, although the bar was quite cool when we arrived, a minor point as it was a very cold day and we soon warmed up.
Can fully recommend this venue for a memorable meal. We shall visit again.
