My first port of call when in Liverpool. Wonderful atmosphere in restaurant with many retro photographs. The freshest of fish & pasta with delicious flavours. Friendly & efficient staff. Well worth a visit.

Launched following the runaway success of its sister restaurant, The Italian Club Fish in Liverpool serves up supremely fresh fare. Showcasing a mouth-watering variety of seafood, the owners pay homage to their Scottish-Italian background, producing a balance between British and Italian cooking.

From comforting fish pie to exotic lobster tagliolini, guests will be hard-pressed to find fresher fish anywhere. The grilled fish of the day and the smoked haddock rarebit are popular choices on the Italian Club Fish menu, while the gran fritto misto is perfect for sharing. A kids menu is also available at The Italian Club Fish restaurant.

The tantalising oyster selection makes for the perfect aperitif , while the Italian Club burger is a must-try those who don’t fancy fish. For a truly Italian finish, go for the tiramisu al café, or for an indulgent dessert, try the warm chocolate and almond cake.

Soak up the unassuming charm of this light, bright bistro while you sample everything from quintessentially British fish and chips, to refined Italian seafood. The Italian Club Fish restaurant is a 6-minute walk from Liverpool Central Train Station.

We don't manage to dine at Italian Club Fish (ICF) as often as we would wish, we normally dine out more locally. However, on special occasions we try to get to "ICF" and have never been disappointed.

5 December was our last visit to ICF for a family celebration. As ever, the staff were thoroughly attentive - such an important aspect of eating out. Since this is a speciality fish restaurant, we always go for fish, although there are other options. Their delicious fish pie was top of my agenda and I was well satified with quality and quantity. My wife and daughter chose haddock. It was an absolute feast.

We had the house white wine; I don't know what it was, but was an extremely good complement to our meal.

The only down-side was that their coffe machine was out of action.

    We shall certainly return

We both loved our experience at The Italian Club Fish. The atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. My friend is glutton and lactose intolerant which I mentioned when I booked, they had taken note of this and had informed the kitchen so had choices available for her. I tried cooked oysters for the first time and they were delicious. I don't have a bad thing to say actually.

Some of the best oysters I have eaten

The food very mediocre after reading great reviews. Had the sea bass dumped on s bed if tasteless spinach. They took 10 quid service but we had left 10 quid tip. So they got 20 quid tip which I feel they should have said oh tip included. So apart from very Medicocre bland tasteless main courses we paid 20 in a tip. Won't be revisiting
