With panoramic views over the Firth of Forth which inspired Robert Louis Stevenson, The Hawes Inn near Edinburgh serves an accomplished menu of trusted British dishes. In an eye-catching white exterior framed with black windows and doors, The Hawes Inn is furnished with modern wood and rustic stone floors. You can dine by the cosy log-fire or with beautiful sea-views from the al fresco beer garden.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Hawes Inn menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Hawes Inn ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

Really enjoyed our visit to The Hawes Inn. A friend told us about this place and we have ate there a few times, on this occasion it was Sunday so we all had the roast. Hearty place of food, meat, yorkies, roast potatoes and veg. good food and reasonably priced. Service was good/ quick, nicely decorated environment to eat.

Food and choice very good we liked our waitress, name?, only comment, too much food on plate couldn't manage a sweet.
The xmas day lunch was excellent, complements to the chef ......but the 'innkeepers' Xmas crackers on the table were the cheapest you can buy, contents rubbish.

Was ignored on entry stood waiting until we approached waitress at the bar who still never greeted us then stormed over to a laptop to check reservation, then disapeared around the corner again without a word then came back and showed us to a table. Waitress that came to serve us was very friendly and polite and took drinks order straight away, waited 30 mins for food but it was excellent, usually have excellent friendly service here, so it was slightly soured by the experience of the first lady we encountered

Requested table by the fire and this was given. All food was very well presented and no one in our party had any complaints at all. Everyone commented on how excellent the quality and cooking of the food was. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant and very willing to go the extra mile which was appreciated as we had elderly people in our party of 4.
