On the outskirts of seaside-town Portrush, The Griffin offers exquisite traditional Irish recipes made with fresh, locally-sourced produce. The carefully restored period mansion dates back to 1860, and boasts striking countryside views.
In order to incorporate the freshest and most seasonal ingredients, the Griffin menu changes regularly. Homemade foods feature across the menu, with home-cooked fishcakes accompanied by wasabi mayonnaise, pimento puree and fluffy chunky chips. Other favourites include the juicy 8oz rump steak with Diane sauce and crisp onion rings. Homemade desserts are hugely popular at The Griffin restaurant and vary often. A frequent feature is the classic pavlova topped with soft whipped cream and seasonal fruit.
The simple dining room, with dimmed lighting and crisp white tablecloths is perfect for enjoying a post-dinner speciality coffee, with many liqueur coffees available for a cheeky treat.
On Northern Ireland’s stunning north coast, The Griffin at Magherabuoy House Hotel is just a 3-minute drive from the A2 and 6 minutes' from Royal Portrush Golf Club. The world-famous Giant’s Causeway is around a 25-minute drive away from The Griffin in Portrush.
