Sunday (2nd April) lunch was not up to standard - soggy roast potatoes and a burnt yorkshire pudding - definitely room for improvement.

Food beautifully cooked and presented. Only one small thing, both times we've dined; the meat (carvery) was brought out and then a bit of a wait for the veg and condiments, so food began to go cold.

Fantastic menu, plenty of choice. Staff were very attentive. We had a member of our party that was running late. The staff were happy to wait and we were not rushed.

We were very disappointed with our experience. We have been several times before and the food and service have always been good. This time however both were incredibly poor. We waited ages to be seated, despite it not being busy, there were only two other people in the restaurant. We ordered drinks and food ourselves at the bar as no one bothered coming to our table. When our food did arrive the Yorkshire puddings was burnt and meat very tough. We waited so long for vegetables, the rest of the food had gone cold. We didn't bother ordering deserts as we were so disappointed with our main meals. We will not be visiting again!

Appalling !!!!!!!! arrived, and the NOISE - shouting / screaming from loads of people in the bar area made it intolerable ! Shown to the dining area - The NOISE !! level was hardly any better.. WE LEFT ! most probably Never to return again.

Turned up and no one in the restaurant - No diners, no staff. Pub was busy and a bad sign when the restaurant is absolutely empty! After waiting for 5 mins and no sign of anyone, rather than speak to the busy bar staff we left. We spent the 5 mins looking at the menu and were thoroughly unimpressed nothing better than pub food - Not a dining experience. Its a shame, pubs like the Three Oaks on the other side of the village have got a really impressive menu and were subsequently fully booked!
The Pub was fine but lacked a choice of Bitters/ales (only two weak ales were available) I have heard the Hotel part is fine? Nice Location and pub spoilt by poor business development? I don't know, but we won't be going back...
