Constructed in the 17th century, The Green Man – Longfield was previously a picturesque farmhouse. The culinary heritage remains through the well-loved British pub menu, and its rustic roots are still visible through the pretty country surroundings and vintage eclectic furnishings. The Green Man also boasts eye-catching white walls and a spacious garden for al fresco dining.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Green Man menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies designed by celebrity chef James Martin offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Green Man ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

At just a 2-minute drive from Longfield Train Station or 14 minutes from Dartford, The Green Man enjoys the country while remaining close to the town.

Been going there for years. Always up and down. Never quite sure how the experience will be in terms of quality / availability of food depending what day or time you go or how long you will have to wait for your meal.
However the staff are always helpful and friendly.
The usual pub fayre really. Good selection of dishes

Table for four, up three flights of stairs to find a very cozy and delightful private dining table - perfect for our celebration of my dads 81st birthday, this is one of his favorite restaurants. The restaurant was extremely busy, which provided a welcome buzz and good atmosphere. However the food I have to say was sub standard, the fish which was ordered by two diners was dreadful; lacking any meat, like it had been to Belson, the best part of the meal was the small portion of mushy peas! The service was dire, poor service lacking any attention to detail failed to remember drinks orders, additional side orders and slow. Overall this was a really poor experience, this is a shame as we have had a soft spot for this restaurant in the past - could not recommend this restaurant if this is the usual standard of food and service, disappointed.

Wasn't bad, we opted for the lunch menu and steak sandwiches, felt s little cheated. Steaks although order medium and medium rare showed not a glimmer of pink but considering how small they were they could only have Been dry and overcooked.

We went for a roast lunch. People serving at the bar didn't acknowledge us, even with a smile. To be honest, you felt as if you were intruding on them. The beef for the roast was like shoe leather - too tough to cut and the roast potatoes were far too over cooked. They were so squishy there was a horrible sweet taste to them. Asked for more but when they came they were exactly the same. Boyfriend said he felt the beef was too tough too but he was so hungry he just persevered cutting it. We ordered cauliflower cheese as an accompaniment which came 5 minutes after the main course came and looked anaemic. No colour to it. Had to ask for sauces as these weren't offered when the main meal was given - I know from dining at Vintage Inns this is always done. Lovely pub but the food lets it down. We feel it's unlikely we will be returning which is a shame as we've eaten there before (not on a Sunday) and this was good. I think it's just the roast menu on a Sunday that lets it down. We did let the staff know whilst we were there and was asked is there anything we wanted - but what can you do? It is what it is.

We have dined in the restaurant several times before, once with a party of seven, we have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. Will use it again without doubt.
