Very welcoming and accommodating of my diet. Normally eating out is a nightmare with my lactose intolerance but they were very helpful.

Disappointing. Have used the great house many times before. Front of house seemed uninterested. Wine not opened at the table. Coffee served plunged and unbrewed. Some of the meals lacked flavour. Left feeling disappointed.

Booked here for my Husbands birthday and all I can say is WOW!!!! From being greeted on arrival, to the amuse bouche, the guinea fowl starter and the pork belly to the Welsh lamb rump all I have to say is perfection. We have been to many lovely restaurants and have to say this is right up there with them. If anyone is thinking about coming here don't think twice just go. 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went there for an early birthday celebration, beautiful place it's started with waiter getting our drinks order wrong, the starters were beautiful thou had to wait quite awhile between courses my beef was beautiful but my wife's salmon was a little under cooked for her so it put her off eating anymore, we did complain & manageress was very kind courteous & lovely about it. Desserts were lovely cheese board was impressive especially the chutney " a must to try" we were given free coffees & our drinks weren't added to the bill which we thought was good. In while a very enjoyable meal but maybe not for us again. Sorry!!

Excellent - food was lovely and service was great, especially the care and consideration towards my date's allergies. Much appreciated!

    The atmosphere was excellent.
Staff were friendly and attentive when we arrived
A couple of bad points were
    1. My wife's fish was a little undercooked, told the waiter when he collected the plates, he just took the plate away . No apology, not a remark from him
    2. We had to ask for our wine to be opened and for a restaurant as this standard it would have been nice to have our wine poured for us
Overall it was excellent and we had a lovely evening
