A classic Victorian building with cobbled brickwork, chunky oak beams and an old-fashioned hearth, The Grange Farm in Stretton Hall used to be a charming farmhouse. The dedication to cuisine continues with the traditional British pub menu, which can be savoured from the pretty al fresco dining garden, close to the countryside.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Grange Farm menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Grange Farm ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

In Stretton Hall, the Grange Farm is only 10 minutes’ driving into central Leicester.

  • (**** 10 November 2016 by A disappointed customer from Oadby Leicestershire

We were a party of six eating on a Sunday. We were all extremely disappointed with the food. Unfortunately a number of items on the menu were not available. For starters the bread was stale, the prawn cocktails were small and bland. The main course was extremely poor. The vegetables were either too hard or over cooked. The beef was over cooked, chips cold, burger bacon rashes inedible it was such poor quality. We refused to have desserts. We did complain but I am not sure the restaurant took our comments on board regarding the quality of the food however we were offered a discount.

The service was good and the waitress was polite and attentive. The restaurant had an open fire and we had a nice table with lovely decorations but the food was so disappointing.

Excellent choice of food on a Sunday - not just Sunday lunch. Lots of good options for vegetarians.

Had table booked for 12.00. Had to wait outside in the cold with 90 year old and 87 year old until doors unlocked at 12.05 by a surly woman. Once inside, the two younger waitresses were great. If you can book for 12 you should be able to gain access at 12 I'll make a mental note to book a later time for next visit.

Came here for a birthday meal. Pub looks nice inside but the food is less than average. I ordered a burger from the limited menu, arrived very sparse. Few chips no salad or anything to even garnish and tasteless. Won't be returning.

Very good except we were shown our table and told we were by the radiator as it was cold but it wasnt on!It was then put on and we soon warmed up because we were quite near the log fire
Very good food but I didnt enjoy my carrot cake cheescake as too much putting the cheescake on top of an already stodgy cake
Friendly staff but when I went to pay the deposit for the Xmas lunch I was asked for £10 a head deposit but on the forms I filled in it said £5 but I did only pay £5
