A classic Victorian building with cobbled brickwork, chunky oak beams and an old-fashioned hearth, The Grange Farm in Stretton Hall used to be a charming farmhouse. The dedication to cuisine continues with the traditional British pub menu, which can be savoured from the pretty al fresco dining garden, close to the countryside.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Grange Farm menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Grange Farm ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

In Stretton Hall, the Grange Farm is only 10 minutes’ driving into central Leicester.

Came here for a birthday meal. Pub looks nice inside but the food is less than average. I ordered a burger from the limited menu, arrived very sparse. Few chips no salad or anything to even garnish and tasteless. Won't be returning.

Very good except we were shown our table and told we were by the radiator as it was cold but it wasnt on!It was then put on and we soon warmed up because we were quite near the log fire
Very good food but I didnt enjoy my carrot cake cheescake as too much putting the cheescake on top of an already stodgy cake
Friendly staff but when I went to pay the deposit for the Xmas lunch I was asked for £10 a head deposit but on the forms I filled in it said £5 but I did only pay £5

No gluten free menu available as promised. Required diners to go and speak to chef to cobble together something appropriate.
Tables arranged in a an L-shape requiring diners to have their backs/sides to one another.
Served beer that was "off" on two separate occasions from 2 separate pumps. Informed that staff are not allowed to taste the beer - how do they know when they havr drawn off sufficient when installing a new barrel?
Service slow - ended up having to go back to the bar and buy further drinks ourselves rather than die of thirst waiting at the table for a waitress/waiter

Nice people and a great location but overall a very average experience, great potential but attention to detail and presentation of the food was not the best. Service was friendly when available but it felt like we had been forgotten at times and 2 hours to get through Sunday lunch was just far too long especially when 60 minutes was waiting time between courses. It was not expensive at just under £30 per head and would try them again just to see if we caught them on a bad day...

Food was very good. Pleasant and helpful staff. My only quibble would be that they hadn't acknowledged it was Book a Table so had to make a fuss to get the 20% off

Very pleased overall, very good service, not too long to wait which was important as we had 2 young children with us. All the food was hot and very nice, maybe more vegetables in with the Sunday roast would be good.

Lovely food. The toilet is a hike away. The service is very good.
