The Goshawk is a favourite dining venue mainly because the standard of food never varies from excellent. There is always a good selection of "Specials" and old favourites on the menu.
The staff are always friendly and attentive even when the restaurant is busy.

I had lunch with a friend. We both had wraps. My pulled pork was delicious, as was my friend's smoked salmon. The staff were welcoming and efficient as usual and there was a real fire burning which was lovely.

We've been visiting the Goshawk for years and have never had a bad meal.
Last night we went for a family meal the service was slow, nobody asked if our food was ok, the quality of the food wasn't the usual standard we've always had e.g.smaller portions and as we left not one member of staff said goodbye. I think maybe a bit of staff training is needed.

We visited the Goshawk as it had been recommended by many friends and we were celebrating my husbands birthday.
We couldn't have chosen any better.
There was a very relaxed atmosphere throughout. Staff were nothing but attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was plentiful and delicious, not forgetting very reasonably priced.
We would love to visit maybe one day again.

We arrived a little early for our 6.30 booking on Friday, but this wasn't a problem , we were shown to our table and ordered drinks with Alex. These were brought really quickly and our food order was taken. Our meals arrived really quickly and we're absolutely gorgeous. I had coq au vin pie and my husband had lamb shank. Alex looked after us, asking if everything was ok and asking if we wanted more drinks. She was a brilliant Waitress to us. After asking for a break, we later ordered deserts, creme brulle for me and tiramasu cheesecake for 'him', both, again absolutely gorgeous. We left feeling very full and very happy with the welcome, the service and the food we had enjoyed. Have eaten here many times and will be returning without a doubt. Thankyou all very much.

Very pleasant staff but service was rather slow and one of the guests felt that her patatas bravas was rather oily.

Have been many times always lovely Sunday was no exception ,. there was a mix up with our main course but that was soon sorted by Steven who I must say is extremely helpful and professional , the one criticism is the cauliflower was almost raw I like it with a bite but I almost had to stab it to cut into it !!!!!
