Lovely setting, supurb drinks in the bar area, stunning food but very limited on the set menu would have been nice to have more of a choice, very luxurious, would visit again.

This was an excellent meal in a delightful setting. The food was delicious and the service impeccable . The highlight of the et menu was a chestnut soup with mushrooms and a duck egg. The main course was a delicious and generous portion of chicken roasted with red wine. I had a dessert containing several treatments of blood orange. My friend had rhubarb confection. With coffee we had small but delicious chocolates and marshmallows.

The relatively low rating for Food comes down to this. Having had a superb "fixed price" dinner at The Goring approximately twelve months ago, I cannot help forming the view that the venue has had to reduce the choice and quality of the food itself in order to keep within a particular price range (i.e. the three course plus wine option).
While the experience was enjoyable overall - as a catch-up with old friends - the meal was frankly disappointing.
I make these comments reluctantly, and after some deliberation - in the hope that the Dining Room will shortly return to its usual, excellent quality of food.

A superb evening, staff were courteous, very attentative, everything was superb. The Food was excellent and the choices of wine also. A personal touch made the evening one to be remembered. A second visit, the first being afternoon tea and we now hope there will be many more.

Very good service. High quality food. But in my opinion i have had better meals at a better price elsewhere. Good for the experience, but there are better places to eat in the capital.

Restaurant room, bright, elegant, i loved it..
Food, first smoked salmon very good but rather too small as a portion...
Beef wellington carved at the table, perfect...
