Outstanding friendly service. Our fish was expertly cooked and all of the dishes were well presented. I would definitely recommend The Goring for value and ambience.

A birthday celebration for my friend, thoroughly enjoyed the lunch, which although we were going to choose from the set lunch menu decided to pick from the a la carte menu instead.Food delicious. We then sat outside by the beautiful garden afterwards for a couple of more drinks! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we both had a lovely day.

Great location, very close to Buckingham Palace.

When I first arrived I was the only person in the dining room, but shortly afterwards (at around 7pm) it quickly started filling up and there was a lovely buzz in the dining room.

My husband was 15 minutes late so the staff have me a newspaper to keen me entertained, which was a really nice touch.

The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The value for money (3 courses and 2 glasses of wine for £55) was truly excellent. We could also have kept having servings of bread if we'd wanted to, and we received petit fours after dinner.

The staff treated us like royalty, they were all excellent. Eating at The Goring was a really pleasurable experience and I hope to return.

My wife and I dined at the Goring Hotel on Saturday evening. We had pre-dinner drinks in the lounge. The lounge was not too full and the service was very friendly and efficient. We had the set dinner menu including wine. All three courses were of a high standard and the wine came in generous measures. The lavender chocolate petits fours were a triumph. The service in the dining room was extremely good although the room, itself, was possibly lacking a little in ambience. But, overall, an excellent experience and one I would highly recommend.

A lovely fine dining experience, except for the fact that the food was not very hot, and the offer menu was limited to chicken, fish or salad. The portions were also quite small. The wine offered was very good

We had been to afternoon tea before (which was wonderful!) but never dinner, what a treat, the dining room is quite small and very well staffed. The tables are all spaced out so you don't feel people are listening to your conversation or you to theirs! They are also good sized tables for 2 people so you don't have to shuffle things around to fit everything on the table. The room is elegant with the most stunning ceiling lights resembling tree branches, there is no annoying back ground music just the hum of a happy dining room. Now the food - we actually went off the bookatable menu and went a la carte as the price difference was minimal and the choice was more extensive, not that the menu is massive but the food was fabulous I had was I was told was the Queen Mothers favourite starter which was a seafood salad but oh so fresh and flavoursome even the bread they served first was so fresh and full of flavour and that was just bread! I thought I would have something light for my main course to save room for some desert how wrong was I lobster omelette, chips and a salad is NOT light it is the richest most delicious omelette you can ever imagine I couldn't finish it all luckily my husband was willing to help me out. On the bookatable menu I had seen doughnuts for desert and the staff were more than willing to let me mix the menus they again didn't disappoint. The sommelier was excellent and guided us through the wine list superbly I would next time just ask him what wine should I have with each course. All the staff appeared happy in the job, were helpful, there when you needed them but not hovering over you, they showed brilliant knowledge of the menu. I cannot praise the Goring enough and am saving to be able stay the night - watch this space!! Thank you all.
