Featured in the prestigious Michelin Guide in their first year as a restaurant, The Globe Fowey showcases the best in Cornish dining. Set inside an historic 16th-century building, there are also popular Sunday roasts, and the famous Cornish Cakey Tea.

Head Chef Glynn Wellington uses local suppliers including lifelong friends, and produces modern dishes which cast a passing glance to his loved of French cuisine. Delicacies from the surrounding areas include dry-aged beef, line-caught fish, local shellfish and herbs and seaweed foraged from the local hedges and seashore.

Desserts at The Globe Fowey in Cornwall include sumptuous double Cornish fudge chocolate brownie, as well as a selection of Cornish cheeses. The traditional Cornish Cakey Tea features fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, and freshly brewed tea. Diners can also sample a range of local ales.

Just moments from the waterfront, The Globe Fowey restaurant is passionate about Cornish cuisine, and sits 11 minutes' drive from Par Rail Station.

    We were greeted by delicious aromas as we entered and were not disappointed by the food which was excellent, exceptional flavours and beatutifully presented.

    This was Easter Sunday. We came for a roast Lunch. I was surprised lamb was not an option. My pork was good my partners beef was mediocre. The service was pleasant but slow and some other customers who arrived & ordered after us were served before us. There was also an unpleasant customer who called the chef out to give home a dressing down on the temperature of the food. Given the praise I saw on the Internet I was disappointed with the overall experience. I hope it was just a bad day for them as it was potentially a good place to eat.

    Inexperienced waitress misled us on menu choices, can info on evening rather than lunch menu. Our return visit proved disappointing.

    A little bit disappointed initially with the 'roast' only menu on a Sunday however that was totally unfounded. We booked to try cakey tea as we had visitors who had not eaten there before. We walked past earlier in the day and our Westie wandered in ahead of us - what a welcome he had! Treats and all. When we returned for our booking we were seated immediately and a bowl of water produced for the dog. He was thoroughly spoiled - as were we by the plentiful and delicious roast beef which was exceptional, the veg was varied and beautifully cooked, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings to die for. The service too was exceptional - we will be booking for Sunday lunch again, Toby the dog is already looking forward to returning.

    We enjoyed our traditional Sunday lunch with out friends from Paris and tried to find the best translation for 'Cakey Tea' maybe 'The et Gateau' .
    Good roast and good Betty Stoggs. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere and Fowey was lovely in the Spring sunshine.

    Really wanted to be leaving great feedback today as we are regular visitors here-enjoying fantastic Sunday Roasts nearly every weekend and keen crowd fund investors.We love this venue!
    However, unfortunately we were really surprised and disappointed in our evening meal last night.The quality of the food was not great at all.I had Fish Curry and Simon had the Burger.I had a dessert {Ricotta cheese, Ginger Crumble thingy} Not what I call a dessert at all!? It was a complete contrast to our superb Sunday Roasts.Hoping it was just a one off!

    Having Sunday Lunch at The Globe has become quite a tradition for myself and my husband-We LOVE it! Well actually,even when he is away, I come on my own!!! Service is excellent and of course the food!{and I have had far too many roasts to compare!!}
    Our Tradition on a Sunday is: I run over from Golan over The Downs and through the woods and what keeps me going is the thought of the reward at the end!-Perfect.
    Thank You for making Our Sunday even more Traditional.
