Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Service excellent, food good and imaginative; initially thought the portions were a little on the small side but after 3 courses, the roast beef being a highlight, we were all well fed and very pleased with our meals. The decor was pleasant and well thought out and we would definitely go back.

It's difficult to book a table here as they so often have weddings when the restaurant is closed to the public. Luckily wedding season seems to be over so book while you can. The menu is short
and seasonal but always varied. The
fish is always good and we both had fish for starter - bouillabaisse is packed with flavour and elegantly served. Cod escabeche (lightly pickled) served with cucumber jelly, pea shoots and carrot ribbons was summery and delicious. The main of partridge was generous, succulent and beautifully seasoned and cooked. Catch of the day was crispy skinned gurnard on a bed of wonderfully hearty butter bean and chorizo cassoulet - delicious. Chocolate delice with hazelnuts and frangrlio jelly was memorable and the carrot cake with ginger ice cream moist and moreish. The
Staff are attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed but elegant in a beachy, Scandinavian way - bleached wood, sheepskin throws and a fire stove. Well worth a visit.
