Friendly staff, food was lovely apart from the side salad which looked a bit manly. Service excellent and a very pretty pub and location.

In the heart of the Lee Valley Regional Park and overlooking the River Lee, The Fish & Eels boasts a uniquely beautiful location. Formerly a 19th-century brewery, it continues to serve traditional British pub cuisine and drinks in a rustic building, by the cosy hearth inside or in the al fresco beer garden outside.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Fish & Eels menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Fish & Eels ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

Near to the town of Hoddesdon in Herefordshire, The Fish & Eels Dobbs Weir is only 9 minutes’ drive from Broxbourne Train Station.

Bad service, food was sent back as it was cold, asked for Bill 3 times didn't come had to then go up to the bar and pay where I was ignored until I approached someone. Will not be visiting again.

First of ringing up all the time because they forgotten my order, as I was taking my mum out for mother day, made my week very stressful ...
Made choice to be honesty!! Got all our order wrong , only thing they got right was our drinks!! Would never go again

Nice location, beautiful pub and excellent sunday roast. But serving staff did not seem on the ball. We were not told that a lot of things from the menu were missing until we got to ordering. Plus they left a pile of unused cuttlery and glasses in a pile at the end of our table. Despite that would definitely go back and hope that service had improved.

Enjoyable relaxed lunch with family. Limited menu, but assume this was because there are road works that make it difficult to get to the restaurant. I had the Hunters Chicken, which was a little overdone (i.e. edges were a bit dry), but it tasted ok.
