With a rich musical heritage, The Concorde is a Southampton hotel that has hosted early performances from Elton John, Rod Stewart and Eric Clapton. One of its dining rooms is The Fig, a laidback yet elegant area that started its life as the musicians’ bar.

Alongside seasonal daily specials, the menu at The Fig offers pleasing pub-style classics, like sirloin steak, roasted vegetables and hand-cut chunky chips, and coq au vin with garlic and herb-sautéed potatoes. Lunch at The Fig features a selection of easy-dining options, from chicken caesar salad with grilled bacon to a red pepper and tomato salsa pasta bake.

The Fig in Eastleigh draws on its musical heritage with a large pewter statue of a jazz trumpeter taking centre-stage. Live jazz is provided by the Dave Lewin Trio, while there’s a scenic woodland and riverside terrace for al fresco dining.

The Fig is a cosy dining space with rustic wooden floors and snug sofas. Southampton Airport is a 6-minute drive away.

My steak was extremely fatty and I was only able to eat a third of it. The waiter did however, refund the money for my meal. I used to be a Gold member at this club therefore our party of 4 were very disappointed with the whole experience. I also had to ask on three occasions for a water jug then to be topped up. On a positive note there was a very good band playing in the Moldy Fig.

We are six school friends in our seventies who meet for lunch every few years. The Moldy Fig provides the perfect place to sit around a table for a leisurely meal and the set menu is perfect for our various needs. We always choose less busy times so car parking is never a problem.

Nice restaurant and laid table, shop bought cakes which was disappointing. Service was good. Liked the eclectic tableware.

My mum,son snd myself went for a mothers day afternoon Tea here. We were all very disappointed. The service was shocking, the finger sandwhiches were dry and we weren't asked on a choice of fillings and all were too fancy for my 9 year old. The cakes resembled shop bought tray bakes or similar and were so sweet! I stood for 10 minutes at an empty bar with no bar staff in sight so i had to go and find someone. The table lamps were caked in dust. It most definately was not worth the £13.95 per head. We won't be going back.

We had a wonderful selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Plentiful supply of tea and coffee - couldn't fault the service. Price was very reasonable too.

Food was well cooked and presented but could have been a little warmer. Staff very polite and friendly, food came quickly and everyone enjoyed their meal.
