Customer reviews for The Farndon
((((( 28 March 2011 by Alan the countryside traveller from Northwich, Cheshire.
Called "by chance" at lunch time on sunday 27th. march 2011 at The Farndon and not put off by [...] across the road was pleasantly suprised with this little jem. It transpired that the Farndon had acquired new management only the week before. They had certainly hit the road running as the friendly greeting, tip top quality beer and excellent wine selection put us all in a warm relaxed mood. Just off the bar area was a roaring log fire and after settling in one of the friendly young waitresses came to take our orders for food. When we were ready we were shown to a modern, clean, fresh looking, well laid out table and very shortly were served with our "starters" . Starters were divine and the lunch mains were equally scrumptious. Only two of us managed to invade the sweets menu and we all came away suitably satiated. The food was very well cooked, plenty of it and the whole menu very well thought out and put together. There was something to temp every palate. A nice hot coffee finished the experience and we all left after settling the very reasonable bill with a nice warm glow that was not wholly down to the log fire that crackled away as we went on our merry way back through the beautiful cheshire countryside. The Farndon will, I am sure, go from strength to strength. It is not on a main road so set the sat nav for Farndon, Cheshire and look it up, you will not be disappointed.
