The Famous Curry Bazaar on Brick Lane has been serving excellent Indian and Bangladeshi food in a laid-back setting for 20 years. Owned by London brothers, the Ahmeds, the restaurant has welcomed many TV personalities and sports stars over the years.
The Famous Curry Bazaar menu offers a selection of familiar Indian dishes, including butter chicken, cooked in fresh cream and almonds, delicately flavoured king prawn passanda, and lamb tikka. A traditional clay oven is used in many dishes, whilst chef specials include mango chicken and duck tikka bhuna.
The extras at The Famous Curry Bazaar more than live up to expectations. The garlic naans are fluffy and full of flavour, and the kulfi desserts provide a sweet finish.
On London’s famous Brick Lane, The Famous Curry Bazaar sits a short walk from both Aldgate East and Shoreditch High Street stations.

Tasty food from a varied menu. Good service and value overall....
the final cost came to a lot more than the advertised Bookatable.com deal, for only a couple of extra side dishes.

we were a group of 10 people and enjoyed a variety of dishes including starters. Everyone said they were very pleased with their meal. The service was very attentive and the atmosphere was buzzing.
We would certainly recommend the Famous Curry Bazaar to friends and will probably return in the not too distant future.

We went here for a late lunch after seeing a great deal on Bookatable (starter, main, side & drink for £18.95) and reading some positive reviews online.
I don't know if it was just the time of day (we got there at about 2.30pm) but it was completely dead. We were there for an hour or so and at no point were there more than two tables taken. Not a huge problem, but probably would have been a better atmosphere had there been more people.
The food was lovely - although I think I was served the wrong main course - and great value with the deal. The house white that came with my meal wasn't bad either.
The staff were the biggest issue. They didn't seem at all bothered by us, and (as mentioned above), when my main was served the waiter placed it on the table saying "jalfrezi". When I told him I actually ordered the garlic chicken chilli, he said "oh yeah, that's what it is". Not terribly reassuring, and he didn't even double-check with the person who took our order! And, after we'd finished our mains and side, he just brought us the bill without asking if we'd like another drink (their loss, as we would have stayed for another).
Ultimately I would be up for going here again - as mentioned, the food was very good - however I'd probably opt for going for dinner instead.
