Good food, nice service and decent price. Tables not too crammed in, plenty of space and good ambiance.

Styled as a charming old farmhouse, The Falcon’s Nest, near Newcastle upon Tyne, values its eye-catching location with country surroundings in Gosforth Park. Featuring a welcoming log fire and an al fresco beer garden, the traditional British pub food can be enjoyed in comfort with great views.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Falcon’s Nest menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Falcon’s Nest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

In North Brunton, The Falcon’s Nest is only 12 minutes’ drive from Newcastle upon Tyne.

Excellent good, great service and lovely staff, even on such a busy day they made room for s pushchair to be next to our table

Went for Sunday lunch with my husband and 2 friends. The food was lovely and tasty. The staff were very attentive and helpful. My husband needs gluten free food and the waitress was very good and kept asking the chef what was gluten free. It would be better if their was a gluten free menu instead of sheets of paper that we were given to check which food was gluten free.

Customer service was fantastic but extremely disappointed with the food. It was cold, potatoes were not cooked, Yorkshire puddings were cools and deflated, nothing was crispy, and you were served minimal vegetables. Normally love the food at the falcons best however I think they cannot cope with the large amount of customers on a Sunday.

Staff were friendly and attentive the food was terrible. My choice wasn't available so they threw something together and charged full price. The other meals were burnt and the kids couldn't actually chew the food. The staff were great about it and took money off bill but for Sunday lunch time what a disgrace

The starter was nice. We then both had a burger. The actual burger was nice, but the brioche bun was awful. It was dry and fell to bits when we tried to pick it up. I think the buns had probably been frozen. Would expect a fresh bun on a £13 burger. They then forgot to take the 20% off the bill. When we queried it, they amended it, but it was still wrong. They eventually got it right third time.

very poor, we have visited falcons nest on a few occasions, and thought we would give it another go, service is very poor waited 15 minutes to be seated when it was very quiet 6.15 in the evening, found seats ourselves to be then told were reserved but they had ran out of notices to say so, still the same re heated food, with less choice as a new menu, had 4 drinks and main course came to £35, -20% was just over £30, a waste of money,we live very close by in Gosforth and it is so local for us, just a shame still hasn't changed.

Beef was tough & Vegetables were Cold, considering that we booked a table for 12.00 p.m. We ate here on the previous Sunday ( Mothers Day) and the food was excellent!
