The English Tea Room at Brown's Hotel was simply excellent. The atmosphere, the service and the food was superb! Brown's strikes the perfect balance between formality and informality - offering guests a memorable experience. Much better than some of London's more pretentious tea venues.

We have had lots of lovely afternoon tea at Browns in the past and it has always been fantastic. This time the food was, as always, great quality. However the staff could have been more attentive. On all our previous visits we have never had to ask for more tea or sandwiches. The staff usually keep asking if you would like more of anything which makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed, but this time we had to attract their attention a few times. I think they became quite distracted by the evening crowd arriving. This would not deter me from returning but I dont think I would book the last sitting (1830) again.

Very traditional Afternoon tea served in traditional wood panelled room, cosy setting. Staff were efficient & friendly and the sandwiches, cakes & Scones were delicious. They are replaced continually, we didn't eat for rest of day! Wonderful experience.

We enjoyed the tea, the scones and the organization. We think the photographer cocktail and the glass it is served in don't suit the elegant atmosphere though

Extremely expensive Tea for nearly £40 per person. Sandwiches were average, scones were more like biscuits, and the seating was extremely uncomfortable for tall guests, as all seats and tables were low to the ground. Nice ambience otherwise. I believe it was refillable sandwiches but they were not that good to warrant refills, and I felt we were overcharged for what we got. I would not recommend this to my friends. I've had many an afternoon tea, and for this price, I can definitely do better in food quality, taste and comfort.

My mum and I arrived early and were shown to seats right away. The Waiters could not have been more attentive, even offering my mum a pillow to make her more comfortable. The Tea was lovely and my mother;s menu as a Diabetic was great. It was quiet and serene with a pianoist in the background. Thoroughly recommend it. Bit disappointed with the addition of £9.95 Service charge, tho worth every penny!
