Very good - great environment, and there was a theatrical effect to the high-tea presentation
The food itself is also good, although not so sure about the pinar colada macaroon (coconut flavour without alcohol = pinar colada?), nor the vanilla flavour signature tea.
The portion looks a bit small, enough to fill me.

After managing to find a parking space on road we entered the reception area and waited quite a few minutes before a lady who was dressing a Christmas tree told us to try in the bar to see if a member of staff was available. We could not see anyone so came back into hallway. As t his was our first time at the hotel we just waited till I saw someone serving in the lounge area. I must say once we were seated our afternoon tea experience was excellent.Very attentive young lady who served us could not of been more helpful in explaining all that was going to happen. As it was my mothers 86th birthday she was made to feel special. The experience started off on a not so good start but ended very well.

My senses were assaulted by an array of colours, designs, tastes and smells. The staff were very attentive and highly professional. We had the traditional afternoon tea with champagne and the speciality cold iced teas. The food was seasonal, fresh and a delight on the eyes. I think this will be a place where I take freinds, family and clients if I'm out to impress!

Halloween afternoon tea was amazing. Loved the selection of savouries and the desserts were all freshly made and unique. Will definitely be booking for Christmas. Just one point. One pot of cream wasn't enough for the 10 scones. We needed double really. The staff were so friendly and attentive and took time to describe the dishes. I've dined at the ritz and the Dorchester but this was my favourite. I'm looking forward to returning.
