Located in Dunchurch, a village recognised for its rustic beauty as a conservation area, The Dun Cow serves traditional British pub food in an eye-catching old building named after a local legend. It features a pretty al fresco beer garden to enjoy the unique village, and a welcoming hearth for winter.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Dun Cow menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Dun Cow ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

In Dunchurch, The Dun Cow is only 6 minutes’ drive from Rugby.

The risotto was under cooked , prawn & lobster cocktail consisted of 4 prawns,no lobster,a minute piece of advocado with lots of mayonnaise to cover it up. I told the waitress, she didn't do anything about it.

It was an excellent experience. They catered to my request for my picky salad request with no issues and it was delicious. They moved us when they realised we were sat next to some very loud business diners and it was spoiling our evening.

Food not as nice as surroundings. Took a very long time to serve even though not busy.

Sticky crispy duck salad was good - friends had sea bass and chicken pie and the veggie burger which they all enjoyed. The mini pud and coffee is a good idea for those who like pudding but don't want a full size portion.

Only ever eaten light lunches here. Very relaxed atmosphere. Always busy but good service and good food.

We meet here fairly regularly for a lunch as the pub is half way between our homes. The menu is varied, the dishes generous and appetizing and the ambiance is pretty good. I nearly always have the calamari starter with the chipotle dip and this time it was on the two/three course inclusive menu which made the value even better. The three course meal for two including a soft drink came to £31. Some of the seating arrangements are a bit odd - large empty tables but the only other diner being placed at the next table so they can overhear our conversation is a bit thoughtless. Thankfully the staff don't hover or keep asking if everything is alright which is a relief. Our bill was incorrect this time but immediately remedied. Staff were cheery and the food arrived efficiently. I had thought the car park was a one way system and was surprised to discover there's only one exit but two entrances as you can meet cars coming in via the exit - not a great idea in my view.
