In a leafy spot in Parsons Green, The Duke on the Green is a contemporary pub and restaurant serving seasonal, modern cuisine. Effortlessly surpassing everyday pub food, dishes are beautifully presented at this colourful and quirky restaurant.

The Duke on the Green menu is a daily-changing selection. Deliciously fresh seared sword-fish with lemon potatoes, orange-braised chicory, passion fruit jus and Thai basil keeps company with oven-baked Welsh lamb with kidneys, roasted shallots, broad beans and a sweet rhubarb conserve, while homemade dessert offerings include the delicate lemon cheesecake.

An extensive wine list, award-winning Young’s cask ales and specially created cocktails are served in the distinctive interior of The Duke on the Green in Fulham, which features elaborate mosaic tiling and colourful seating. Gin tasting sessions are run frequently, while new burger recipes are unveiled every week for Friday burger night.

A trendy gastro-pub just north of the River Thames in London, The Duke on the Green is on New King’s Road, just down from Fulham’s famous King’s Road.

Lovely meal and lovely setting. Great value for "ladies that lunch" with a delicious salad and glass of prosecco for only £12. Sadly our waitress was just not up to speed which made the ordering, delivery and billing frustrating

The Pub has a really nice atmosphere, that's it's star quality. Shame the Beer is so poor, though.
Two very sweet girls served us but had only just started that night and weren't yet trained-up enough to be client-facing, we didn't think. They did their level best and were adorable but service must be slick when there is so much competition out there. The starters were good all round. We all had Steaks and I'm sorry to say that they were pretty tough - even the rare ones. I ask not to have chips but got them. The Malbec was just as bland and cheap as it can get. (I am a wine merchant and know the difference between crap and a good wine!)
This all sounds a big negative, I'm afraid but try and take it as constructive. Nothing you can do about the Beer, train your staff more thoroughly before they hit the floor, have a word with Chef about the Steaks as they really were tough.
BUT, I felt warmly welcome, the ambience was great, and despite the failings - all of which can easily be rectified - we did have a nice evening!

Sadly several staff had failed to turn up but the bill was generously adjusted.

Food excellent, service not so good on this occasion! I don't mind waiting a while when busy but, 1 1/2 hours for the main is a bit much when only 4 or 5 tables taken in the restaurant!

Upon arrival there was very little interest in getting us seated, once we asked around we were finally sat down and made to wait for 15mins before receiving a menu, another 15mins before being able to place our order - looking around the room we could see other tables doing their best to attract the uninterested waiter's attention, whether trying to order or some who'd clearly sat with finished meals in front of them for far too long - something we also experienced. Despite looking impressive the roast beef was lukewarm and lacked flavour...real shame, great setting, this place just needs a change in staff!!
