The place and the food was great! I would definitely come back for that. However one of our friends were a bit late, and the waitress was giving us a lot of attitude for that, even though there were plenty of empty tables, so it shouldn't have been a problem that we stayed an hour longer. But other than that, it was a really nice experience.

I was not impressed with the afternoon tea. I chose this place because of the photos I saw in tripadvisor. The sandwiches where very standard, scones super clumpy and cakes very dense . Not value for money at all, overpriced for what you get. I am a bit if a foodie and i do not mind paying at all if is worthy. No what I expected. Service and ambience was great.

We chose the afternoon tea at the Ampersand Hotel to meet up with a friend as both myself and my partner had been before and we were very impressed. I am a coeliac (gluten free) and my partner has a nut allergy, but this does not seem to phase the staff at the Ampersand Hotel. We informed the restaurant of our dietary requirements when we made our booking. The food was delicious and just the right amount. I was a little disappointed that we were not offered any more tea, and although we did try to attract the waiter's attention a couple of times, he was very busy and we kept missing him. However, we had a lovely time and will certainly return again in the future.

We enjoyed London Fashion Week Afternoon Tea with Moet et Chandon. Every foods are uncommon. Colorful cakes pleased our eyes. Scones are good taste. We had really relaxing time at the end of the trip in London.

I chose the Drawing rooms at Ampersand for their wide range of sandwiches available for afternoon tea. Many other hotels offer just two kinds for vegetarians, but Ampersand provided four which were well received by me and my guests. The goat's cheese sandwich divided us, but the other selections were very satisfying across the board. My favourite dessert was the little Genoese fruit cake - I'm not usually a fan of dried fruit cakes, but this example was sweet, moist, and refreshing. We were all impressed by the setting: Clean, neat and cosy. It was not very busy on a rainy autumn Friday, but the atmosphere was comfortably calm. I would certainly visit again, even if only to try the triceratops biscuit, which turned heads! The staff were very polite and attentive, and accommodated our sudden change of plans amicably.

We really enjoyed our afternoon tea experience because there was a good variety of food. The food was fresh, certain food was warm eg the small quiches. We loved the variety of the sandwiches both for the classic & vegetarian. Some of us had the Science Themed Cakes which were delightful especially as we had been to the Natural History Museum - this was why we chose this restaurant. The staff were very attentive. The restaurant was pleasant & restful. Beautiful, clean toilets.

The location is fantastic and the rooms have a lovely atmosphere. My friend and I are on the short side so traditional chairs would have suited us better than sofas as we were quite low in relation to the table, or have a slightly lower table. The classic afternoon tea was delicious. Regarding the gluten free sandwiches, it would have been better to make the sandwich as a traditional sandwich rather than the filling exposed on the bread. The gluten free scones and fruit were to our satisfaction. Thank you.
