Great ambience and a warm welcome, smart restaurant. Muse Bouche was interesting, I chose the makerel for starter which was delicious, followed by the cod which lots of elements, the chocolate fondant was rich and runny. Great portion sizes.

    Food excellent

The restaurant was superb; the room, the decor - a traditional Edinburgh Georgian front room but with sensitive modern touches - the service and most of all the food. I could have happily eaten any of the items on the menu and even the plates were warm, a strange but all too common shortfall in top end restaurants. Besides the usual amuse bouche one even got a dram of an old and very unique malt at the outset just to get the proceedings off to a good start. Also, unlike all too many restaurants with modern, minimalist decor it was possible to sustain a conversation without shouting. I would certainly go again and who have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

Excellent food and good service - not too attentive or overbearing which suited a business dinner. Courses a good size, plus a bonus of small aperitif and whisky sample. A joy to go somewhere without piped music! Lacked a little atmosphere as there were relatively few diners but that wasn't a problem for us.
