We were veeery satisfied. Especialy my wife liked it. The waiter, from Italy, recommended the right wine and sort of tea. We will come back next time we are in London. For sure.

After taking a really long time to choose where we should have TEA in London, there are so many wonderful places, we decided to choose what we thought was the
cream of the crop, Fortnum and Mason. Our service was very poor, once the food was brought we never were approached again, had to even hail the waiter for water. When management learned of our disappointment, they took one Tea off our bill. Damage was already done because at 46 pounds a person and the tea sandwiches and food pretty unexciting, we left with a bill still exhorbitant for what we received.

My partner and I dined at Fortnum & Mason's and had an incredible experience, again. Nevin opted for their fantastic Dairy-Free Afternoon Tea and I opted for their Savoury Afternoon Tea. The service and attention to our table and Nevin's dietary requirements was excellent and the food, oh the food! There aren't many places where you'd rave about the simple things, such as the Coronation Chicken Sandwiches, or the Scones (both savoury and sweet) but F&M's is definitely one of them.

    Simply outstanding.

The Diamond Jubilee restaurant at Fortnum and Mason is beautiful, light and airy. The afternoon tea is gorgeous (this was our 4th visit!). There is a great range of finger sandwiches - with the coronation chicken being a particular favourite for our party. The scones are warm and fresh. There is a lovely selection of sweet treats and you can choose a piece of cake to finish your tea. You can get a top up of any of the food and your chosen tea (again a great selection) at no extra charge. The service is exceptional. A truly fabulous experience!

Lovely restaurant, pleasant staff, food was not as good as I would have expected, the sandwichs were a bit dry and the tea as not very hot. The staff were very good getting further items for us. We decided to have savoury and sweet tea, but on both the top tier was disappointing, it looked sad really.

Very smart, pleasant atmosphere. Busy but not crowded. Good vegetarian option for afternoon tea. Staff very friendly and efficient. Family birthday treat which went down well with everyone. Expensive for what you get but as a treat - why not?

I went for afternoon tea with my partner, my sister and my partners granddaughter who is nine years old. I must say I was a bit apprehensive at dining at Fortnum and Maisons after reading very mixed reviews, but I needn't have worried. Our experience there was perfect from start to finish. Adam our waiter for the afternoon was amazing, very polite and friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
The tea was lovely, we had an excellent variety of sandwiches and cakes which were so fresh and tasty. Also you could have as much as you liked because there was no limit on the amount you could eat.
It is a lovely relaxing dining experience and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to have tea there.
I have had afternoon tea at the Ritz and The Savoy and it compares equally.
Ps... I recommend a glass of the house champagne with your tea... it's excellent
    Anne
