Afternoon tea was an "old-fashioned civilised" event - a rarity in today's fast-living world - who could believe it actually lasted 2 hours. Favourite nibble was a stilton scone with port jelly. I tried Countess Grey tea which was my waiter's favourite and I agree with him - lovely!.

Very nice ambience and very good service. The Tea was excellent. You get a strong sugar boost so consider this before you book.

Fantastic! The high tea was fabulous- a great selection and delicious! I would especially like to thank Rose our waitress whom looked after us and made the experience warm and friendly. She also recommended for us to take some cakes home which made the whole experience great value!

Fortnum and Mason Afternoon Tea was a disappointment. Although the scones and desserts were very tasty, all was a bit stale as if they had been sitting out too long. The sandwiches, in particular, were not fresh. Wilted, rubbery cucumber is not appealing. We were also placed right at the entrance despite having booked a month in advance, where waiters rushed back and forth between rooms, yet we were fairly ignored, and had trouble getting our own waiter's attention. A beautiful setting but shabby treatment.
