Nestled on the waterfront in a leafy London suburb, The Depot sits within impressive converted stables. Refined brasserie-style cuisine can be enjoyed whilst overlooking the river The Depot, or in the sunny al fresco area.

Crafted using fresh, premium produce, The Depot menu sees classic dishes given a contemporary overhaul. Flavoursome offerings at The Depot Barnes include a warming Shepherd’s pie with glazed Chantenay carrots and minted peas, or international flavours like slow roast pork belly with Chinese greens and shiitake broth.

A laidback, family-friendly vibe prevails at The Depot Mortlake, with a wholesome selection served for kids, as well as a colouring competition. A lengthy Depot dessert menu sees sweet tooths well catered for, from walnut and fig frangipane to amaretto, chicory and chocolate mousse.

In a tranquil area of London, polished wood floors and brick archways at The Depot restaurant are offset by plush banquettes and modern art. Barnes Bridge Rail Station is 5 minutes’ walk away.

Efficient warm welcome. River view table as requested. A bit cramped next to adjacent tables. Quite expensive but reasonable value. Very good service. Good menu and wine list. Overall experience good.

Wonderful location with a great view over the river. Very friendly staff and service spot on. Food was delicious, especially roast hake on spinach and mash and the crispy duck and watercress starter. Only negative was too many tables in too small a space resulting in it being a bit cramped and rather difficult to hear each other at times. Overall a great dining experience though and we will definitely be back!

The Depot always gives its best. The food was delicious crispy duck salad yum! and then the favourite Depot Fishcakes always a good one. I would certainly recommend this restaurant. The location by the river is great and the setting sun over the river made the evening more enjoyable. Favourite pud is the Lemon Posset. I have recommended this restaurant to friends who have found the service great and the food excellent value for money. Wines not bad either.

The food was great and the atmosphere pleasant. There was a distinct difference with the staff's attitude to regulars and our table but they were not unfriendly, just a little distant.

Is always a good experience. Food of a high standard and staff very attentive and pleasant. Last night we had to move tables due to a very noisy table of four close by which made it almost impossible to hear/speak as staff discovered when we were endeavouring to place our order. Staff identified this very quickly and we were pleased with the table we were moved to. Maybe such tables should be asked to lower their voices in such a public place for the enjoyment of all guests. Perhaps this did happen but we were far enough away not to discover what happened. Cannot imagine other close tables were prepared to put up with it and if one was a first time
visitor could, I'm sure, put people off returning..
