Offering al fresco dining, The Deer Park is a renovated quintessential country-style retreat serving modern gastro pub cuisine. With log fires, large windows, neutral tones and marble table tops, the pub enjoys a relaxing ambience.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Deer Park menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar at Deer Park pub showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at the bar. British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Deer Park in Leeds is just a 10-minute drive from Cross Gates station.

This was one of my best birthday celebrations ever, and I've had tens of them. How many tens remains with me, but a lot! I am wheelchair bound and the staff shuffled chairs about to accommodate me. Then a glass of bubbly for me. The three of us had an excellent meal. My husband had the lamb dish from the 'specials' menu, he said it was delicious, my sister had a crab risotto which she enjoyed, and I had the beetroot and truffle pasta, divine. We all had a wonderful pud with the hot drink. An excellent bottle of wine. Keep your waiters and waitresses and pay your chef double. I would worry they enter 'Masterchef', and then you would lose them. I think we would have licked our plates, next time we might, but we'll go into Street Lane to do it, because that would be a great advert for the Deer Park. We sing your praises high!

This is the second time we have eaten here and it wasn't a disappointment. A cosy corner table as requested and our waitress Lisa looked after us very well. The food was delicious

It felt like they had tried to fit too many tables in to accommodate the Mother's Day rush. This led to chairs being banged into throughout the meal, very slow service and average food - the potatoes were undercooked and the "pigs in blankets" and apple sauce left off the plates. We received an apology for the very long delay (well over 40 minutes) between our starter and the main course, but nothing else. They had just tried to get too many people in and overstretched both the space and the
kitchen. I did make a polite complaint to the maitre'd on the way out, who just said "sorry it's always this busy". not really enough.
