Set in a refurbished building in the historic town of Tettenhall, The Crown – Wolverhampton is a gastro pub offering al fresco dining as well as a spacious bar and restaurant. The interiors, with their subdued lighting, distressed oak tables, and crushed velvet upholstery, are a contemporary space warmed by open log fires.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Crown menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Crown bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Crown in in Wolverhampton is a 4-minute drive from Bilbrook Railway Station.

Great atmosphere for young people but far too noisy to hold a conversation with your aged father.
Didn't like being greeted by stern faced bouncers at the door. Menu was excellent and extensive.
Waiting staff were very helpful and friendly.
Starters - Bresaola was a great hit, as was seafood platter (could have done with twice the amount of bread).
Mains - father's fillet steak, he said afterwards was on the verge of being off. Other mains were fine but slightly puzzled how you can be expected to eat a steak with a sauce off a slate. Don't like slates as they don't look hygienic and you can't heat them as you can a plate.
Asparagus side was lukewarm and hanging limply over the sides of the small to bucket it was served in. Spring greens selection, however was lovely.

pleasant evening in excellent surroundings. Main course bit slow after starter but it was a saturday night so it was busy.
Food very tasty and excellent atmosphere on the pub/restaurant
