Set in a refurbished building in the historic town of Tettenhall, The Crown – Wolverhampton is a gastro pub offering al fresco dining as well as a spacious bar and restaurant. The interiors, with their subdued lighting, distressed oak tables, and crushed velvet upholstery, are a contemporary space warmed by open log fires.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Crown menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Crown bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Crown in in Wolverhampton is a 4-minute drive from Bilbrook Railway Station.

Excellent food at a good price one small criticism our waitress could have been a bit happier

Very popular venue for the wealthier more mature diner/drinker. Consequently it was very noisy and difficult to get to the bar.
However, we were served promptly and immediately shown to our table. If you want a lively atmosphere then fine but doesn't suit more intimate dining.

Had an amazing 3 course birthday meal and cocktails with my best friends, everything was just perfect (as always on previous visits). The staff were fabulous and tended to our every need...even my birthday photos! I've said this many times over the years and I still stand by it, that this place is a gem and the best place to eat in Wolverhampton and I've been a chef 28 yrs....well done and keep up the good work! The Crown is a modern and trendy restaurant on the A41, just outside the centre of Wolverhampton. It has log fires in the winter and you can sit outside in the summer, so it's a good venue throughout the year. It has a varied drinks list, including cocktails, which are good value. You are given some nibbles while you're waiting for your food, which is a nice touch. The food menu is also varied with dishes ranging from fish and chips and pizza to lamb and belly pork. Desserts are excellent as well - I particularly like the option of having a mini dessert with a coffee. Service is good, although I have given a slightly lower rating for this, as drinks were forgotten/delayed on a couple of occasions. This is not a cheap restaurant but it serves good quality food in a pleasant environment.
