The Crown restaurant combines the best traditions of a London East End pub and adds contemporary gourmet touches. Over 2 floors, there are terraces for al fresco dining, Saturday BBQs and Sunday roasts, and a tranquil beer garden.

All dishes on The Crown menu are cooked fresh, with a great variety of flavours on offer. Traditional hearty favourites are available, like gourmet burgers, 28-day hung Scottish steak, and vegetarian options like kidney bean, squash and buffalo cheese pie. Lighter options like soups and salads are served, as well as premier additions like confit duck leg with roast new potatoes and braised savoy cabbage.

There are a range of fine cask ales and beers served at The Crown London that are often alternated for great variety. A comprehensive wine list is available, along with champagnes and liqueurs.

Faux fur stools and dark stained wood throughout give The Crown Bethnal Green a cosy feel. Mile End Tube Station is 3 minutes’ drive away.

Having been here few times last year, was quite disappointed this time around. Service was patchy (they forgot our sides and we only got them at the end of our meal after having to remind two servers), the portions were not very generous or even that tasty. Also, seating wasn't great (we were right by the bar). And to top thing off it was overpriced, esp the 8 quid bottle of Hacienda selling for 24...
