With stunning views of the Teign estuary & a terrace for waterside dining in warm weather, The Coombe Cellars serves a seasonal menu of modern British pub food. With large windows to let in the light, curved wooden chairs & cushioned banquettes, the restaurant provides a cosy place to enjoy a wholesome homemade meal.

Sourcing ingredients from trusted local suppliers, The Coombe Cellars menu features wholesome recipes based around the garden, land and sea. Sample hand-pressed burgers, beef & ale pie with cardamom carrots, or sea bass with potato gnocchi, while old-school puddings include warming crumbles, custard-lathered sponges and decadent brownies. Not forgetting younger diners, a kids’ menu includes miniature versions of British classics.

A partnership with the celebrated Rothschild wine merchants means The Coombe Cellars cellar is stocked full with an eclectic list of world wines, while indulgent wine flights allow guests to sample a variety of bins. Seasonal beers and barrel-kept ales also feature, as well as thirst-quenching cocktails and rich coffees.

The Coombe Cellars in Devon is a 10-minute drive from Newton Abbott Rail Station.

We did not get the offer that we chose through bookatable - the 25% off the total bill. The food was tasty and good though and the service was as could be expected for a busy Friday night.

Friendly efficient staff. Table ready when we arrived. Nice situation by the window.
Good menu choice though check the main menu if offered a 'specials' list as you can get very similar food from the main menu cheaper.
Found a hair in m main course after I'd nearly finished it ......?? Told the waiter who said he had 'yelled' at the chef and would we like complimentary pudding. Well yes thankyou but I would have preferred my food without someon else's hair in it!!
Over all good, will I go back ?.....possibly, but knowing I need to check my food before I eat it!,

I always have a fantastic time at the Coombe Cellars and my lunch on Sunday was no exception. The food is delicious, the view is stunning and the staff are friendly and professional. I can't wait to return! Thank you very much.

The restaurant itself is in a beautiful position beside the Teign, lovely for sitting out in the evening. Friendly helpful staff and attractive decor. The food was delicious - we had seafood linguine, pizza and a wholefood salad with salmon - but there just wasn't enough of it. To pay 13 or 14 pounds for a main course and go home hungry is not my idea of a good dinner! We were clearly expected to pay out even more for side dishes to make this into a proper meal, but I think this place has got a bit above itself; it's a very nice pub serving food, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. My daughters enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding though!

Service excellent. Pity good not topnotch. It was a very busy Sunday lunch time, but the roast dinner was average at best.
