Food excellent and well cooked. Nothing was too much trouble for waiter Kriss. Enjoyed atmosphere. Have been before and will definitely come again.

Significant during WW2, The Cheshire Cat, near Chester, has returned to its pastoral nature through the beautiful surrounding country and the delivery of seasonal British pub cuisine. These characteristics can be enjoyed by the hearth-fire in winter or in the al fresco garden in summer.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Cheshire Cat menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Cheshire Cat ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

In Christleton, The Cheshire Cat is just 10 minutes’ drive from Chester.

Had 3 courses each my partner said his main trio of sausage was excellent. I had ham hock for my main which had not been cooked for long enough as it was a bit tough and s but fatty but the rest if my food was delicious. With the discount we had 3 courses each and a bottle of wine fir £50 which is excellent vfm. We also had lunch there which again was delicious and very reasonable. Staff very friendly and attentive Would definitely be coming back

Food was good/ we dined Friday 15th July very noisy as party going on in next room music was very loud and we had to raise our voices to talk / we asked to move table but not pooible . Our waiter was very good not sure of his name but we were chatting to him and he told us he came to England from Poland 11 years ago. / when bill came 20% discount hadn't been taken off and I had to show waiter the code off my phone.

We love the Cheshire Cat. The outside dining space is pleasantly located overlooking the Welsh hills, although a little too close to the road. Eating in the gazebo is a very pleasant experience on a sunny day. Inside is a mix of modern decor with period features, a homely environment and plentiful, helpful staff. Our waitress (Sinead) was always on hand and ready to take orders, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and actually cared about our experience.
Totally recommend this dining experience and if you're lucky enough to be able to book a room before they all go, these look wonderful.
Toilet facilities are a little difficult for people that have trouble climbing stairs as these are based on the first floor. There is however a toilet on the ground floor to assist with this issue.

We like the atmosphere and pleasant decor and small intimate tables and larger spaces too. Service and ambiance excellent. We were just a little perturbed to be asked if we would like to move to another table because they wanted to put the t.v. on though, but we would go there again because we like the location and lovely menu. Thanks.
