We went out to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we both thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Chequers Hotel. We went early evening and the staff were welcoming and polite. The food was superb and it was the first time in my experience that the chef refused to send out some swede I ordered because he was not satisfied with it. The alternative veg he offered was great.
