A very quiet night in the restaurant as there was a corporate event on, but the service was great and the food delicious

In a majestic site dating back to 1883, The Camellia Restaurant offers 2 AA Rosette-adorned British cuisine. A plush Victorian-inspired dining room features gilded mirrors, flamboyant wall coverings and rich mahogany wall panelling.

Sourcing vegetables from the walled kitchen garden and championing fine Sussex-reared meats, the Camellia menu showcases creative, seasonal dishes. Delicately-crafted and ambitious, Camellia Restaurant favourites include prawn ravioli with coconut and pak choi, or loin of South Lode venison with broad beans and garlic. For dessert, refined indulgences include pear financier with chocolate and cardamom ice cream, or strawberry parfait with clotted cream.

Hand-picked by the resident sommelier, The Camellia Restaurant wine list features over 300 wines, all of which are displayed in the restored cellar. Guests are encouraged to browse the cellar, and there is ample knowledge on hand for recommending a complementing wine. For post-lunch indulgence, enjoy the South Lodge afternoon tea, served in idyllic surroundings.

During summer, guests can enjoy views of the Sussex countryside on the outdoor patio at The Camellia Restaurant in Horsham. Central Horsham is an 8-minute drive away.

We visited the Camellia Restaurant last night for my fiancé's birthday and was not disappointed. Gorgeous hotel, excellent service & fantastic food. We will definitely be returning & would recommend to anyone especially for special occasions

Lovely welcome, polite friendly happy staff.
Afternoon tea was the best I've ever had, good selection of sandwiches scones and amazing cakes.
Lots of different teas to chose from too. (There are other drinks not included in the set price)
With the Sandwiches and scones, if you wanted more you could for free.
Also if you couldn't finish everything, they would box it up for you to take home. (Brilliant idea).
A free slice of 'Haleys' cake also given when you left.
South lodge is a lovely place with lovely surroundings.
    Can not fault anything.

Fabulous views over terrace and garden if you get a table by window, as we did.
We had duck and quinea fowl dishes which were really good, amazing sauces.
Our dessert of passion fruit mousse and sorbet was our favourite .Richard Mann , the chef there can clearly cook and produces dishes you want to eat again and again. Service getting better, but lacks that extra attention to detail.
