The staff were so attentive as soon as we got there and the food was out of this world. Every ingredient was placed so precise and delicately on the plate which made its own little masterpiece and every mouthful was an explosion of flavour. Would recommend to anyone.

The Café at Hotel Café Royal is the first dessert restaurant in London, created by Executive Pastry Chef, Sarah Barber.

By day, The Café celebrates European café culture, offering breakfasts, light lunches, patisseries, afternoon teas, hot drinks and wines.

In the evening, the dessert restaurant offers a host of exquisite tasting experiences all served with optional wine pairing. Each tasting experience starts with a range of savoury bites to prepare the palate for the sweet journey ahead.

Offering a tranquil and sophisticated pit-stop in the West End, the Hotel Café Royal is 2 minutes’ walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

Please note The Café is open all day, however for evening bookings only the dessert restaurant menu or savoury menu will be served.

    Pros:
    * Exceptional quality of desserts & tea
    * spotless customer service
    * location / view / comfort / ambience

    Cons:
    * poor quality of savoury food. Certainly not worth the money
    * booking through bookatable did not go through to their system, had to wait for a while to be recognised/ seated (fair enough the booking was made about an hour before, however if the booking does not get recognise by the system then what's the point of having an online booking system?)

    Personal point of view:
    Something hit and miss about the decor/ interior. Overall 'luxury' but trying too hard without having strong identity.

    A great place for a special occasion. The desserts where truly inspired. For a chocoholic it was a dream.
