Winner of an AA Rosette for its British gastro pub dishes, The Cadogan Arms offers heated outdoor dining and a cosy, contemporary interior. Ales from the sister microbrewery are served at the well-stocked bar.

The award-winning Cadogan menu mixes trusty British classics and refined signature main courses. Enjoy warming pork and apple pie with smooth mashed potatoes and cider gravy, or herd-crumbed halibut with fennel & potato rosti and pea veloute. Trusty British desserts include spiced pear rice pudding, or chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream.

Alongside locally-brewed beers, fine wines and freshly roasted coffee beans from nearby Butterworth & Son, The Cadogan near Bury St Edmunds offers indulgent grazing boards and artisan breakfasts.

Alongside a children’s menu served throughout the day, an adventure play area and free-roaming chickens (which can be fed with seed provided) keep younger diners occupied. The Cadogan Arms pub is an 8-minute drive from Bury St Edmunds.

Very enjoyable experience. Food was excellent. Our group enjoyed beef and chicken dishes. Staff were very good. Restaurant was not busy (Monday night)
Service might have been considered a. It slow by some groups, but as we're catching up with friends it did not bother us.
The sharing puddings plate was a big winner with our group. One member of our group had a nut allergy and this was not a problem for the restaurant to deal with.
Will visit again in the future.

Have always been a huge fan of The Cadogan as it is so reliable. We took friends for lunch on Friday. Theee of us had the fish and chips which was mostly delicious, although one end of my battered whiting was soggy and underdone, the vast majority was crisp and delicious. One of us had the bream on a white bean and chorizo stew, which he said was delicious and gave me menu envy. Three of the party had desserts which were all gorgeous. We all agreed that, just like last time, we really dislike the coffee blend in the house americanos. Tastes burnt, somehow, even though I am a regular drinker of strong italian coffees and enjoy a double espresso. A shame they don't offer a choice of blends so one could find one we like. Service was with a smile, although when our salt mill proved to be useless, we couldn't find anyone to ask about it! So a more compromised report of satisfaction this time. Come on Cadogan - don't lose your grip!

Main course of Mutton and Pearl Barley curry did not have any taste of curry at all it was just a mutton stew very disappointing, the onions with lime in the pork was unpleasant
THe service was good the atmosphere was pleasant it was the food that let it down

We had a lovely meal, service was excellent and presentation of food excellent. My only criticism would be the gravy, very runny and not much flavour. My son had a large glass of water and the glass was very 'murky' which I know can happen when using dishwashers for glasses, but it did look unclean.
