Featuring old country charm, The Bull’s Head – Lichfield has a leafy setting, rustic furnishings and hearty British pub cuisine. Views of the pretty surrounding village of Shenstone can be enjoyed from the beer garden, or the hearth fire inspires a sense of cosiness inside.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Bugle Horn menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Bugle Horn ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The Bull’s Head is just an 8-minute drive from Lichfield City Train Station.

The Bull's Head has a nice pleasant atmosphere. On the evening of our visit the service was a little slow, but then it was quite busy. The downside side on the evening was my partner's main course (Fish and Chips), where the fish was unusually firm and tough, almost as if still frozen - but this was not the case. In fairness, when we raised this with the staff they did agree to take this item off the bill.

Initial reception was poor. Staff seemed overworked. The person who finally greeted us looked cross and seemed to be blaming us for his bad day; he actually seemed put out that were customers coming into the pub. We had booked in advance but were informed that there were no roasts available (so I don't know why you've come here) before we were even checked in and shown to our table. The same person had plenty of smiles for his co-workers and, as an afterthought, was probably not pleased with how he had received us.
The food wasn't bad though some dishes were less that hot and some had items missing. In general the food was not as good as we had previously enjoyed there.
