A superb Sunday Lunch. The staff were most friendly and helpful, cheerfully accommodating our gluten-free needs although they were extremely busy. Our meals were tasty, well cooked and beautifully presented: all in all a visit worth repeating. Thank you everyone at The Bull!

A charming 15th-century pub, The Bull Inn Rolvenden is an inviting rural spot in Kent. Packed with historic charm, there are open fires to cosy up by, as well as a large outdoor area for the warmer months.

The Bull Inn Rolvenden menu mixes hearty British pub classics with more international flavours. Old favourites like homemade pie of the day with mash and seasonal veg sit alongside seared breast of wood pigeon with blueberry jus, green Thai chicken or vegetable curry, and lamb stiffardo – a Cypriot lamb stew infused with cumin and rosemary.

There is a selection of handcrafted pizzas at The Bull Inn Rolvenden, as well as desserts including lemon posset served with crumbly homemade biscuits. Kids have their own dedicated menu, and there is a full wine list and range of craft ales.

A hub of the local community, The Bull Inn Rolvenden is nearby to Tenterden, and a 23-minute drive from Rye Rail Station.

Lovely picturesque pub in pretty Kent village. Interior nicely done. Service was good and friendly, it was quiet for a Sunday lunchtime and food came very quickly. Food was presented very nicely with ample jugs of gravy, large Yorkshire puddings and attractive, colourful vegetables. Sadly the taste did not live up to its look with very little flavours - all very bland. My daughters roast beef was brown all the way through (not a hint of pink) and my gammon was pretty tasteless. However, my husbands lamb was "ok". We didn't stay for desserts but the dessert menu looked very nice with lots of different flavours on offer - hopefully they would have been more tasty than the rather bland main course roasts. This is a lovely pub and we will try again but might avoid the roasts. It seems difficult to find a pub that does a good tasty Sunday roast!

Great Sunday roast, with crunchy sugar snap peas and tender carrots. Lamb and beef were fantastic and the kids portions well sized. Brilliant atmosphere and attentive service.

Had a wonderful evening meal. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive but not intrusive. Four of us dined and we all felt our meals were delicious. Highly recommended, we also stayed at the lodges behind which were equally as impressive.
