Housed within a twee, moss-covered cottage dating back to the 1500s, The Bridge Tea Rooms offer a host of regally-inspired afternoon teas served on fine bone china. Having won the UK Tea Guild’s title of ‘Top Tea Place’ twice over, this timeless teatime emporium is ‘near perfect’.
Themed afternoon teas lead The Bridge Tea Rooms menu, and include a Queen Victoria tea of finely-trimmed finger sandwiches, homemade scone, clotted cream, sticky strawberry and fig jam and meringue. Fine leaf teas and fizzing champagnes are served by costumed waitresses, while a Masters and Mistresses tea is provided especially for children.
Cobblestone walls and chunky oak beams are offset by linen-clad tables and authentic Victorian furnishing, while candlelight shrouds the dining room in a cosy glow. Homely trinkets and a crackling log fire add to the restaurant’s old English charm.
A 4-minute walk from Bradford-On-Avon Rail Station, The Bridge Tea Rooms in Wiltshire are just a stone’s throw away from the banks of the River Avon.
