It was great. Surprisingly great if I'm honest. Lovely views of Tower Bridge, quality food and - especially with a Tastecard - exceptional value.

In the 4-star Tower Hotel on the north bank of the River Thames, The Brasserie offers authentic European cuisine. Stunning views of Tower Bridge and Tower of London can be seen either from the al fresco terrace or the contemporary dining room.

The truly innovative Brasserie menu features unusual yet tasty combinations of flavours. Salmon is seared with a coriander-seed rub and served with a zesty lemon-scented cous cous and creative lime cream. Juicy roasted rump of lamb comes with a ricotta and lemon polenta cake, minted peas and broad beans and a flavoursome thyme jus. For dessert, an indulgent and fruity yoghurt and mascarpone cream comes with summer berries and an imaginative minted-grape compote.

The minimalist style of The Brasserie dining room gives full impact to the spectacular views seen through floor-to-ceiling windows. Cocktails are served in the cosy Xi bar, where the neutral colour palette is continued.

On the water’s edge at St Katharine Dock, the Brasserie at Tower Hotel in London is great for exploring the city’s historical landmarks. Tower Hill Tube Station is around a 10-minute walk away.

We arrived early and had to wait before we could order a drink from the bar, but we were shown to our table. My mother wanted to change our table because she preferred a bit more privacy towards the back of the restaurant, the staff were very obliging and let us move. The waitress was very friendly and extremely helpful, especially as we were inquiring about afternoon tea there too. The food was delicious, the waitress helped us choose and made some recommendations. We had the pork schnitzel and fish and chips and the apple tart and crumble for dessert. We had a lovely lunch and would definitely go back..My mother liked the way the tables were dressed and the green glass ware on the table.. .

The service was average. The drinks took a long time to come and we didn't get what we ordered. The food was poor and overpriced. The chips were dry.

Very disappointed . This restaurant is in an otherwise fabulous 4 star hotel. Unfortunately only the prices are 4 star while the food is very poor pub grub .

Saturday 15th April 2017 :On Arrival we were greeted by a very professional person, who took our order and recommended the Burger. He was a very professional front of house member. The food was served in adequate time. the burger itself was delicious, but the gherkin was omitted and I did report this to the manager. He in turn apologised and offered us a free dessert, which we had the following day at Sunday lunch. I did notice that there was a lot of confusion for other guests, and a few other complaints were made. I enjoyed our Saturday night (15th April 2017). On Sunday 16th we were told that the wine we requested was not available which was a shame, the Sunday Roast was quite nice but not enough veg and too much meat (Half a chicken !!) We felt a little rushed with our Sunday Roast we had only just finished our starter literally and the main was served, also the dessert was very quickly served. It would have been nice to savour the moment and the lovely view of Tower Bridge, but we felt rushed. I think we were seated for approximately an hour and a half which isn't a lot for starters, mains and desert with wine. The overall feel of being at the Brasserie was good.

I was meeting a friend for lunch but arrived early. Staff were very attentive and 3 different people asked me if they could get me anything while I waited. I had coffee. Meal was excellent, beautiful situation on the river, and prices as you would expect for central London. I have been several times and would always choose this as a good meeting point. Toilets also lovely!

Friendly service. Food good although not remarkable and there was an error on the order even though the server double checked requirement

Location great. Good views and good service. Food was of a good standard but not exceptional. Curry selected by friend was too hot for her taste and no alternative offered. Linguini and salmon nice enough but not worth the money as lots of pasta not much sauce but salmon fine, however quite bland. Disappointing as had recommended hotel to friends.

Lovely food, friendly staff but very dissapointed that they added both a service charge and tip to the bill without any reference to it. Only realised this after leaving restaurant and hotel would not refund service charge. This meant that a £90 bill included over £26 pounds of charges!!!!! Very poor and underhanded service.

We had booked the restaurant for our friends 50th birthday. We were given a wonderful window seat overlooking Tower Bridge. The service was excellent. Birthday girl was given a beautiful complimentary pudding too. We had a lovely lunch. Thank you for taking the extra care to make our friends celebration more special.
