Welcoming, cosy but also spacious atmosphere. We went to celebrate a birthday in a small group and it was lovely. Service very friendly and efficient

The Brackenbury is led by the former General Manager of the iconic River Café. With equally prestigious backgrounds, the kitchen team create a menu of French and Italian dishes using fine British produce.

The Brackenbury menu is led by bold Mediterranean flavours. Try risotto with braised pheasant, marsala and dried porcini, linguini with spiced mussel and tomato ragu, or roast partridge with braised savoy cabbage and celeriac purée. Desserts are just as rich, with the likes of Yorkshire ginger pudding with butterscotch sauce, and the ominously titled chocolate nemesis on offer.

Laid-back yet chic, comfy banquettes and simple décor give The Brackenbury Hammersmith a warm and welcoming feel. Outdoor seating offers al fresco dining on warmer days, with Meditteranean-style street-side dining.

A neighbourhood favourite, The Brackenbury London sits in a quiet pocket of West London. Hammersmith, Ravenscourt Park, and Goldhawk Road tube stations are all within a 10-minute walk.

We decided not to have the set menu this time as not to our tastes. We shared two lovely starters which were enough and the house white wine was delicious. Delightful waitresses.

A classic restaurant offering intimate little nooks as well as a garden-like dining area for larger parties. We ate the set menu which had the right balance of choices to please all tastes. Food was excellent and extremely good value for great ingredients - well put together - and made with obvious love and passion. Great selection of wines by the glass starting from very good prices - £4.50 or so! We had the most relaxing time and felt as though we had escaped the hustle and bustle of the city and had a luxurious yet affordable experience. Wow. We will be back!

Delicious starters, fab hake and very kind modifications to all my food intolerances.

My first visit since makeover; good ambience, well placed tables and importantly carpeting to absorb noise of chatter etc. Attentive service and reasonable price. Decided to have main and pudding; steak onglet was really too chewy. Roast fish was great. Ice cream with nuts was too OTT with nuts, ratio of nuts to ice cream was the wrong way round. The rhubarb dish 'though delicious should have allowed for more acidity to offset the custard.
