The Brackenbury is led by the former General Manager of the iconic River Café. With equally prestigious backgrounds, the kitchen team create a menu of French and Italian dishes using fine British produce.

The Brackenbury menu is led by bold Mediterranean flavours. Try risotto with braised pheasant, marsala and dried porcini, linguini with spiced mussel and tomato ragu, or roast partridge with braised savoy cabbage and celeriac purée. Desserts are just as rich, with the likes of Yorkshire ginger pudding with butterscotch sauce, and the ominously titled chocolate nemesis on offer.

Laid-back yet chic, comfy banquettes and simple décor give The Brackenbury Hammersmith a warm and welcoming feel. Outdoor seating offers al fresco dining on warmer days, with Meditteranean-style street-side dining.

A neighbourhood favourite, The Brackenbury London sits in a quiet pocket of West London. Hammersmith, Ravenscourt Park, and Goldhawk Road tube stations are all within a 10-minute walk.

My first visit since makeover; good ambience, well placed tables and importantly carpeting to absorb noise of chatter etc. Attentive service and reasonable price. Decided to have main and pudding; steak onglet was really too chewy. Roast fish was great. Ice cream with nuts was too OTT with nuts, ratio of nuts to ice cream was the wrong way round. The rhubarb dish 'though delicious should have allowed for more acidity to offset the custard.

Extremely delicious from start to finish. It gets better each visit. Crab bisque with 1 enormous crouton was a particular highlight. Lovely airy room, efficient and easygoing service. Totally lovely.

Never had a bad experience - always talk about it all day following. you will have missed out if you have not been. Just a five minute walk from Hammersmith tube in to leafy side streets. Well done team Brackenbury.

The Brackenbury had been highly recommended and we certainly weren't disappointed. We had three courses each which, apart from both having the magnificent oysters as starters - for which, as an Australian, I set the bar very high - our other four dishes were each different. The rare seasonal Skei Norwegian cod and garnishings including delicate artichoke was outstanding and my colleague's smoked haddock kedgeree earned full marks. Desserts were simple classics perfectly presented and of excellent flavours. The wine list offered a reasonably priced range of sources, styles and grape varieties. We were also impressed by the waiters' informed knowledge of the wines and their suitability for our food selections.

Service was excellent with no intrusive questioning as to whether we were enjoying the dishes minutes after they were tabled. The interior of The Brackenbury is one of softly stated elegance with the right amount of space between tables and the whole experience takes place in an atmosphere of quiet efficiency.

Saturday lunch at The Brackenbury was the best meal I have had in London for a long time.

    I shall definitely return!

Food was excellent and the individual style of the kitchen showed through in all courses.
The Potato Dauphinoise was an excellent modifications of a classic which I will try and reproduce.
The seaweed with the braised cuttlefish was a type i had not tasted before and was excellent
The separate Bin end/ Fine wine list was intriguing .

The waiting staff were individual and spontaneous and clearly proud of what they were doing and justifiably so.
The Chef surfaced but did not intrude but was clearly pleased with my direct feedback .

The setting, room Temperature and lighting in the Entrance side of the restaurant were spot on.

    We will be back!
