The staff were attentive, friendly knowledgeable and charming. The range of dishes on the menu was really good; all really appealing. But.... My guest had the sole and I had the scallop and shrimp burger: both had very good flavour, but both were overcooked and a tad rubbery. But the real issue is the noise from the adjoining bar: the music is far too loud and wrecks the ambiance of what would otherwise be a classy restaurant. Even the staff can't hear what you say to them. It's disrespectful of the customers to charge as this place does (up to £28 for mains) and then seat people in a disco. I'd give it a second chance over the overcooked fish, accidents happen; but not for the noise. It's just not nice.

When I arrived at the restaurant, they didn't seem to have my reservation. Not sure why.

The staff were friendly and pleasant but the service was Faulty Towers. The food was not great either I'm afraid and the house wine choice was poor.. However the position and ambience of the restaurant went a long way to making up for this.

Food and service was fine. However, terribly noisy.

The restaurant was noisy and after waiting a long time I had to call a waiter over to take our order.

A quick pre-concert meal, set menu offer. It was fine - food came reasonably quickly, just a bit busy & noisy, but it's Christmas!

Food is always excellent. The waitstaff is professional and friendly - a bit 'neglectful' this last time, but granted, the restaurant was very busy.
The bar area is annoyingly loud - is it really necessary to blast the music so loud you can't hear yourself think?
